FAQ
I grew up in an environment where talking about witchcraft or wanting to learn more about why I could sense things others couldn't was considered "letting the devil into your home". 🙄 As you can imagine, it was something I learned to keep quiet about very quickly. Even today, although I am MUCH more open about it, I still have those in my life who accept me for who I am, but with who I can't really converse with about my practice.
I created Lorewitchery because I wanted to create a space and community for those looking to learn the secrets this vast universe has to offer, a place for witches', spiritualists etc. who want to learn from others/share their experiences, or just anyone looking to add a little bit of magic to their lives.
I won't bore you with my whole life story, but I was talking to spirits before I even realized that's what I was doing. At the age of like 5 or 6, I came across a Ouija board that was just randomly sitting in my grandma's house one day, and much to her horror, would tell her about her sister that had passed before I was born.
I experienced different forms of childhood abuse and trauma, and as a results am currently working through PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. As I got older I slowly started to forget about my board and spirits adventures. About 2-3 years ago I went through a period of asking myself some pretty serious questions like "what is even the purpose of me being here". Looking back there were so many signs that I was being shown that I just didn't know at the time, but It seems my guides must have been tired of doing things subtly because I had a tarot reading fall into my lap that I just couldn't ignore. It's message was loud and clear: "You need to be connecting with people and you need to be TEACHING others about all these wonderful tools you learned about (even if you forgot yourself).
So for the last 2-3 years I've picked back up my divination tools, talked with my guides daily, and more recently been reading tarot and astrology. Even more importantly, I am learning more and more every day.
As a final note for this question, I believe that no one is an "expert" when it comes to these topics on witchcraft, spiritualism, tarot, astrology, metaphysics, etc. Sure, there are plenty of us who are well-read and have practiced for years, but each person's spiritual journey is so unique that how can anyway be an expert for all? What I can promise you is that I can share what I have learned, what has/has not worked for me, have conversations with you to learn more about your journey, and hopefully help you learn how to pick up your own unique toolset for spiritual growth and discovery. There is no one size that fits all in this case, and I do not claim to be an expert in anything.
